Waller, Supervisory Special Agent – FBI This presentation will include a general discussion of the emerging fraud trends involving Health Care, Medicaid, Insurance, and Securities Fraud that the FBI is investigating in Minnesota and other parts of the United States. Special Agent Waller will also address how member organizations can communicate fraud issues with the Minneapolis FBI Office. Richard A. Waller entered on duty as an FBI special agent in 1996. Following the completion of training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia, he was assigned to the Birmingham Field Office. While there, he worked criminal enterprise/drug trafficking organization, high yield investment and securities fraud, bank insider loan fraud, and cyber investigations. Mr. Waller served on the Birmingham SWAT team for 10 years and was certified as an FBI tactical crew chief/rappel master, observer / sniper, and firearms instructor. In 2006, Mr. Waller was promoted to FBI Headquarters where he served as a supervisory special agent in the Criminal Investigative Division. During his tenure he was assigned to the Operational Support Section where he had operational oversight of a myriad of the FBI’s national and international undercover operations. In 2010, Mr. Waller returned to the field where he currently supervises a white collar crime squad at the Minneapolis Field Office. His squad investigates allegations of health care fraud, mortgage fraud, and high yield investment and securities fraud violations. |
